DO NOT choose Psychiatry UK as your NHS Right To Choose. Genuinely terrible experience for nearly two years and counting... I was diagnosed with ADHD privately through my university. I was then told I needed to get diagnosed again... waiting list for 6 months (Oct 2022 - May 2023). Put on the waiting list for medication, got told 7 months... was 13 months (May 2023 - July 2024). During this, at the 7 month mark I was told I could start titration on another medication. Filled in my details and got told to hold fire and get ready. 4 weeks later, I got told that they could no longer provide this, and I was back on the never ending waitlist with NO estimated date for my medication. (They also misspelt my name, just to rub salt in the wound). I struggled so bad during the beginning of 2024, I had to drop out of university. My GP couldn't help me, and I was given absolutely 0 support, guidance or reassurance from Psychiatry UK when I raised this with them over the telephone. I was told I could make a complaint but they could offer me NO help, NO answers. I have now started titration! But BE AWARE, it is all via text message. Not a single phone call with a nurse, EVERYTHING via their note system. Got problems explaining your symptoms in writing? Welp, you're stuck. Need to speak with a member of staff? 5 working days reply time. Does your nurse need to speak with your consultant? GOOD LUCK! My consultant who diagnosed me didn't get back to my nurse after TWO WEEKS and I had to trial a different medication from the one I was meant to be on. Cherry on top, I need a new prescription. I submit my delivery information, and low and behold... it is being sent to a completely different address! If only I could speak to an advisor who can send my medication to the right address I asked for... (Been on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes so far!!) Please I beg, DO NOT choose Psychiatry UK as your NHS Right To Choose.
