I have recently been assessed for autism and ADHD via Right to Choose on the NHS. I would very much recommend this service. I am a bit shell shocked at how quickly it all happened! It all went very smoothly and I found the patient portal easy to use and my messages were responded to quickly and efficiently. The only issue I had was that my referral initially arrived but wasn't being dealt with for some reason, but this was quickly sorted out by a very helpful person with a phone call from me. Dr Owen Roberts assessed me and he is very kind and knowledgeable and was able to put me at ease, despite discussing sensitive subjects. He is also very experienced in assessing women who are both autistic and have ADHD, which can be more difficult to do. I feel that I have had a brilliant service from Psychiatry UK and I am very grateful to not have to have had to wait for years as I think was the case had I gone through the NHS route.
