This service was a life-saver! Having spent years trying to make progress with my ADHD, everything went so quickly with Psychiatry-UK. I felt like the people I spoke to cared and empathised, and they really brought me into all of he decisions that were being made.

As a parent we have a great experience with Psychiatry-UK from start to finish. The team are friendly, caring and helpful. I'm really impressed with the portal, it is so easy to use from adding notes, uploading information and requesting medication. My child was put at ease talking to the Dr and he answered any questions or worries she had.

I have been beyond impressed with PUK. The Drs and titration nurses provide an excellent level of care and I felt well taken care of and informed every step of the way. It was always clear that they had my best interests at heart. My titration nurse Justine is an absolute star. Always quick to respond and read through my sometimes lengthy feedback about how my medication was affecting me. Quick to provide actionable solutions that kept me safe and healthy. When I first got my diagnosis from PUK I had access to wellbeing support which in theory is a great idea, and might be very helpful for others but I didn't feel like I got much out of it. To me a lot of the advice / resources felt very basic, generally not helpful, or i didn't understand the purpose. But I must say that the advice around journaling was very valuable so it wasn't a complete miss. I would love to see more cheap or subsidised therapy options for newly diagnosed patients to help them come to terms with and understand their diagnosis better. I found talking these things through with a professional much more helpful than reading articles online.

I had a really good experience here, with friendly and fast communication from my doctor, titration prescriber and the admin team. The process has been very straightforward, and I have recommended Psychiatry UK to other friends who have been looking at pursuing diagnosis privately

Dr Rhodri from Psychiatry UK has a cheerful, disarming manner and spoke to me like an adult and an equal during my ADHD diagnosis. He took no shortcuts, and was able to painlessly guide my attention through each consultation, so that by the end of each I not only felt helped but that my time had been well spent I could not be more pleased or more confident in his skill, knowledge, professionalism or compassion. My prescribing nurse Wioleta was my rock during titration. I don't recall ever having to wait beyond the next morning for a response, and she was unerringly attentive to my needs, questions, and requests for dose adjustment. This had been my first experience under the case of an expert prescribing nurse, and I feel it has been a deep privilege to have consistent access to someone of Wioleter's caliber, and character. I have never been so well cared for. Bravo, Psychiatry UK, and thank you; both for opening your excellent treatment pathway to NHS patients, and the skill and care you put into delivering it. - Peter

The website didn't work to book the appointment, but I phoned and spoke to an advisor who was helpful and booked it for me. The appointment itself was fine. The service afterwards has been terrible. I was promised I'd receive a written report within 10 working days - it's now been nearly 60 working days and I don't have a report. Every time I chase it I'm told they'll look into it and get back to me but then they never do. I paid privately, so I paid £180 for the report. Really wouldn't recommend the service.

Disclaimer: I gave the location 5*s because Psychiatry UK is online only. Therefore, the location is my own house and it's (usually) nice and clean. I first heard of Psychiatry UK back in 2019 and tried to be referred there but my GP was difficult. I switched GP during 2021 and was finally referred in Spring of that year. The appointment waiting time was fairly long (over half a year) but was much shorter and far more transparent than the NHS vague waiting lists which are multiple years long in most places. I was put on an NHS waiting list for ADHD in 2018 and never heard anything back over the last few years. There was also a wait between when I was finally diagnosed (November 2021) and the start of titration (February 2022) but the waiting time was fairly accurate to what they had told me so I was pleased with that. I filled out some forms when first referred which asked about experiences and also included a couple of family/friends testimony to back up what I was saying. The diagnosis appointment itself was very straight forward. The doctor asked me questions about my experiences throughout my life and I never felt like he was judging/doubting/trying to trip me up at any point. It was fairly brief and I honestly thought there would be more to it, such as tests, to make sure people weren't lying to obtain medication but I much prefer this than being forced to prove my own struggles. Titration was a positive experience. My prescriber was a lady called Lorraine who was always very helpful, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. It lasted for around 6 months which is a lot longer than the typical 8-12 weeks stated on the website but I'm glad they took the time to make sure everything was fine before ending the titration. Medication was also sent directly to my house which was useful as I work from home. Overall, I would give 4.5*s out of 5. The half a star missing only because the wait times are still quite long considering how much something like ADHD can affect all aspects of your life especially if severe like my own. I would highly recommend Psychiatry UK to anyone seeking an ADHD diagnosis/treatment especially if you can't afford private care.

I’d maybe say just to make the portal a little bit more easier to use for the people with neurological illnesses. Adhd/ADD
