I had a psychiatric assessment with DR R Denny. He was understanding, professional and explained things well, he recognised my struggles. I have more insight into my mental health and feel comforted by the outlook and treatment plan.

Psychiatry UK have been a fantastic service. I have been titrated onto a dose of a medication that suits me and my ability to focus on my university course and life administration has really improved. My titration nurse, Rasheed, has been incredibly responsive and the whole process has been really smooth. I would highly recommend Psychiatry UK to others.

Psychiatry UK is a brilliant service. I was seen very quickly, within 6 months I believe, for my ADHD diagnosis and didn't have to wait long to access the titration service once I was diagnosed. My consultant, my titration nurse and the admin team were brilliant, easy to contact and kept me well informed. The PUK portal is easy to use. I felt very cared for under PUK and their support has positively changed my life. I absolutely recommend this service for anyone considering pursuing an ADHD diagnosis.

Couldn’t ask for more efficient care. The Patient Portal worked brilliantly for me. Communication was easy and I received prompt responses.

My psychiatrist and the customer support staff I have been in contact with have been professional, courteous and (as far as I am able to judge as a layperson) seem competent. However, at an organisational/process level PUK does not empower its staff to provide a good service or standard of care. I am being titrated onto some fairly major medication for a condition I'm not 100% convinced has been correctly diagnosed. I have had exactly one, hour long, video call conversation with my psychiatrist throughout this entire process, and this was nearly a year ago. I have never met anyone in person, and the rest of the process has been conducted entirely over text-based messages on PUK's patient portal. Each month I have filled in a monitoring form, and most months I have written about side affects I am experiencing or concerns I have, and every month these concerns are completely ignored - I just get a standard "prescription issued" response. If I send a message expressing a concern outside of these forms, I get a single line response. The processes themselves are very opaque from a patients' perspective. Nobody ever spoke to me about how the titration was going to work or whether/how I should request future prescriptions. I have repeatedly asked for clarification or to be directed to guidance on these issues, and again have been completely ignored. Furthermore the web portal, which is the ONLY way to contact PUK staff - clinical or customer service - feels like an alpha/early beta version that has been rushed out to the public - it is incredibly clunky, they have clearly not bothered to do any user testing, and it is highly unreliable - it is regularly unavailable to access. Overall it feels like psychiatry UK are taking on far more patients than they can really handle or are ready for and are offering the absolute bare minimum of patient care as a result.

Hannah was my titration nurse for my ADHD medication and I could not be happier with the care I have received from her. As and ADHD and autistic person, I often find it very hard to communicate with medical professionals, and often feel I do not get listened to. However, my messages were always read, and the replies I received showed I had been heard and that my experience had been taken account of. I feel other medical professionals could learn a lot from how this service is delivered. I always got prompt responses when I left messages, and reassuring and sensible advice if I had a concern about something, or wasn't sure what to do. For instance, when I got Covid during titration, and when I forgot to increase the dose at one point because I had not read one of Hannah's messages properly. I would highly recommend this service and would like to say a big thank you to Hannah, and to her colleague Chris, who was equally helpful when Hannah was on holiday.

I knew something wasn’t right for quite some time. I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression about 6 years ago but to be diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 30 was a big shock to me. However, there is nothing I could fault with my treatment! From start to finish everyone I dealt with was lovely, so helpful and knowledgeable. I found the whole process easy compared to what I was expecting. My titration nurse Sarah was amazing! She was always there if I had any questions, as odd as they may have been. Everything was done in a timely manor and explained in ways in which I would understand. For someone who suffers with extreme anxiety I was sceptical and worried about the process however, it has been the best decision I have ever made. I have now completed my titration and am on the correct medication and correct dosage for me. The whole process from diagnosis to now has only taken a few months which I am so happy with, as I though it would take much longer. Thank you so much to all of the team who have helped me along the way.
