Everyone has been friendly and supportive.
My psychiatrist and prescriber were both so welcoming, kind and professional. I felt fully involved in the process and completely reassured that my wellbeing was at the forefront of all decisions being made. Any queries I had were answered incredibly quickly, even outside of waiting hours.
While the NHS waiting list is long, they were so incredible that it was absolutely worth it.
Psychiatry UK have been fantastic! Very kind and friendly on the phone. Their systems work very well and are easy to use
Rali was absolutely amazing and I am honestly so sad that our time working together is now done! She has made this journey so so easy for me and I have felt so supported throughout every step. Her hard work has literally changed my life.
Supportive, understanding, competent.
I received my diagnoses from Dr Elena Ghetau and was supported through the titration process by Lorraine Forsythe. Both were incredibly supportive throughout the process, and were happy to answer any questions I had. They helped me feel in control throughout. Communication was timely and efficient. The only downside from my point of view was the waiting time, which obviously wasn't the fault of any particular individual in the service!
Psychiatry-UK don’t offer great ‘care’. They will get you in as a new patient and customer, take your money and eventually you will get your initial prescription.
The care stops at that point. If you have significant issues with your medication after titration, they will listen to you and then tell you to wait 6+ months before you can change medication. Their advice at this point is to stop taking your medication - something which is a horrible solution with someone with severe ADHD.
My only advice is that, if you are on titration, you should make sure you extend it as long as possible so you don’t end up in a situation like this. They will try to get you through so they can push more patients through, but do everything you can to stay on titration until you are 110% confident with your medication.
I saw Dr S. Yates and I can't recommend him highly enough. He took the time to really understand me when I was so very nervous about not being able to communicate properly or not get myself across how I wanted to.
Thank you so much
I think the only thing that could be improved is 121 catch up sessions to talk about symptoms and how the medication is helping to support.
We have found Dr Proudlove very understanding and responsive. Having had
no response at all from, followed by a bad experience of, local CAMHS, it was
a great relief to find a CAMHS professional online who took the time to
really listen and help with the complex problems that my daughter is
experiencing. We have decided to stick with him for the foreseeable future.
