During my first appointment I said I'd the the op procedure as I was emotional about this even happening to me as was not expected and did not want to see all the blood clots when taking the pill as don't think I could cope emotionally with that and I was only 6 weeks at the time so I got told I had to have pill and felt like I was being to talked into it, I had to say to the midwife 2 times why I wanted to wait a bit longer for op. I think all women should be give the option. Understand the op will cost the NHS a lot more but really your nurses should let the payment decide all options.

Response from MSI Reproductive Choices - Manchester Treatment Centre

Hi and thank you for your feedback. It is very important for us to offer choice to all clients and I'm sorry if you felt pushed into something you didn't want. However because of Covid - 19 restrictions we do advise medical abortion offers less risk to those eligible and it can save the need to visit a centre. Telephone medication is the newest treatment offered and it is highly in demand but you should always be given time and freedom of choice. I will send this to the management team and if you are struggling with any element of your experience you might want to take advantage of our free counselling which could be beneficial to you. In any event if you wish to discuss this matter with a manager please call us on our 24 hr helpline 0345 300 8090 and this will be arranged.
