After my operation for endometriosis excision surgery was cancelled twice in the space of a few weeks, I was booked in again on June 10th 2026 with Dr Kirana Arambage. The care that he provided to me was second to none. The surgery that was ahead of mine over ran, so Dr Kirana Arambage and his team stayed late to make sure that my surgery went ahead. Dr Kirana Arambage made me aware from start to finish of all the details of what was planned and also my aftercare. I cannot thank this surgeon enough for everything that he did for me. I will be forever grateful to him.

I recently had a diagnostic laparoscopy surgery to find out that I had endometriosis. From my first consultation I felt listened to and that he understood and explained what my symptoms were caused by. Surgery went really well and he came round after the surgery to check on me and advised how the surgery went and provided me with photos of what he found. I would highly recommend Mr Arambage. I am only 6 weeks post surgery and know I am some way off going back to normality but after my post op consultation regarding my recovery he put my mind at ease. His secretary Fiona was also very helpful and was always on the end of the phone or email for any questions.

I recently had surgery for my endometriosis and C section defect with Mr Arambage. After years of feeling not listened to, I decided to go private to get answers for my symptoms. From my first consultation I felt listened to and that he understood all of my symptoms that I was experiencing. Surgery went really well and he came round after the surgery to check on me and discuss how the surgery went. Also had a post op consultation to discuss how I was and any next steps. I would highly recommend Mr Arambage. I’m 6 months post surgery and recovery has been good. I finally have the answers and diagnosis I was looking for and some of my symptoms have been relieved.

What a fantastic surgeon and team and I would give them an award if I could! A few years ago, I was diagnosed with endometriosis after a scan revealed a chocolate cyst and quite severe endometriosis. At the time, I didn’t feel particularly supported and wasn’t keen on the suggestion of a hormonal coil, so I instead focused on improving my diet and lifestyle. However, two years later over Christmas my pain became significantly worse. A further scan showed that the cyst had grown and my endometriosis had progressed, meaning I needed to be referred to a specialist. I decided to go down the private route because I was becoming increasingly concerned and wanted things dealt with quickly, although the thought of surgery was a huge fear for me. Health-related matters make me extremely anxious, so being able to access Mr Arambage so quickly was incredibly reassuring. From the beginning, Fiona, his Practice Manager, was always prompt, kind and efficient in responding to any questions or concerns I had. I was able to have my operation within just a few weeks of speaking with Mr Arambage. He explained everything very clearly, including the best course of action, and also diagnosed me with Adenomyosis, which helped me better understand what I had been experiencing. I was also extremely impressed that after the surgery, Mr Arambage personally checked in on me to make sure I was okay and showed my husband and I photos of the surgery, which I feel was useful for my road to mentally start to recover - it was also useful for my husband to better understand my condition and has helped us move forward. Mr Arambage is clearly an exceptionally hard-working person who is deeply committed to both his job and helping women suffering with this terrible condition. Likewise, Fiona checked in with me during my recovery to see how I was recovering, and she has been absolutely incredible throughout my entire experience with them. I am so grateful to Mr Arambage, Fiona, and the entire team at the Manor for the care and support they provided. I truly feel this could be the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I would also like to give a special thank you to Dr Vipul Jain, the anaesthetist, who went above and beyond for me. I became very anxious about having a general anaesthetic, and he showed incredible patience, kindness and reassurance throughout. I am deeply indebted to you all for the compassion and care you showed me during such a difficult time. I would recommend to any woman who is anxious, like me, and wondering if this is the right step to feel reassured that you are in the best hands and it will be ok.

After years of symptoms being ignored by other doctors, based on previous scan results and my symptoms, Mr Arambage was certain I had endometriosis after the first telephone consultation. Mr Arambage carried out a laparoscopy to assess and remove endometrial tissue as well as a hysteroscopy and tubal die test. It turned out to be a more complex surgery than expected lasting nearly 4 hours due to the extent of the endometrial tissue and adhesions. Since the surgery, I have had much reduced pain and bloating during my monthly cycle. After 1 year, follow up scans showed minimal recurrence of endometrial tissue. My experience being an inpatient at The Manor Hospital in Oxford was very positive and the communication with Mr Arambage and his team was clear and prompt throughout.

I had my laparoscopic surgery 2 years ago with Mr Arambage and wanted to leave a review showing my gratitude towards him. He is the best doctor I could’ve asked for, he made me feel comfortable since the first appointment and throughout the whole process of the surgery. Aside from that I cannot put in words how much “lighter” my life has felt since then - no more period pain, no more worrying if I have endometriosis or not and whether I am fertile or not. That peace of mind was the greatest thing to come out of the surgery. I am very thankful for Mr Arambage and everything he’s done for me.

Mr Arambage performed gynie surgery on me in Jan 2026 at The Manor Hospital, Oxford. I am very satisfied with the experience and outcome. I felt listened too and respected throughout the patient journey. During the initial consultation he took time to understand my needs and concerns fully which helped me to feel confident and that I was in safe hands. The whole team at the Manor were excellent and the post-op meeting with Mr Arambage was useful. All the admin and email conrrespondence (via Fiona, Mr A's secretary) was extremely efficient and she was very pleasant to deal with. My recovery has gone very smoothly. I would highly recommend to others - thanks to everyone involved.

I am incredibly grateful for the care I received from Mr Arambage. From my first consultation, it was clear that he is a surgeon of the highest calibre. Despite his demanding schedule, he was exceptionally caring. He demonstrated immense patience and expertise while explaining every detail of my procedure, making me feel completely at ease. His approach is incredibly meticulous, and I was so impressed when he took the time to show me my pre and post-surgery organ photos and explain the results. He is truly approachable and genuine. I also want to give a huge thank you to his PA, Fiona. She was absolutely amazing—always responsive and professional. No matter how many questions or requests I had, she handled everything so quickly and kindly. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I cannot recommend Mr Kirana Arambage highly enough. From my very first appointment, he made me feel genuinely listened to and understood. After struggling with ongoing symptoms for a long time, it was such a relief to speak to a consultant who took the time to carefully go through my history and explain everything clearly and thoroughly. Mr Arambage is professional, compassionate and incredibly knowledgeable. He explained my diagnosis and treatment options in a way that was easy to understand, which really helped to reduce my anxiety and made me feel confident in the plan moving forward. I never felt rushed, and all of my questions were answered with patience and care. His surgical expertise and attention to detail are exceptional, and the improvement in my quality of life since treatment has been life-changing. I also want to highlight how wonderful Fiona is. From the very first phone call, she was warm, reassuring and incredibly organised. She went above and beyond to answer queries promptly, coordinate appointments smoothly and keep me updated at every stage. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and her kindness and professionalism made the entire process feel far less overwhelming. She is a real asset to the team and plays such an important role in the overall experience. The level of care from both Mr Arambage and Fiona made me feel supported, respected and genuinely cared for throughout. I am so grateful for the treatment I received and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding gynaecological care.

It is impossible to overstate how impressed I have been with Dr Arambage and Fiona. I am so grateful to have found them after a very difficult time in my life. I went to Dr Arambage as I had begun to experience pelvic pain following 4 miscarriages. In that first meeting he listened to me more than any other doctor I have seen (and I've seen a lot!), he explored all my symptoms, not just the obvious ones, he looked at the whole picture, he was proactive in his desire to find answers for me and it was clear he really cares about his patients. He suggested it might be possible I had a uterine niche, something no other specialist had even mentioned (despite having had multiple ultrasounds over the past 18 months). He was also confident from my symptoms that I likely had endometriosis even though my symptoms were vague and new, and would undoubtedly have been missed by other clinicians. I am now writing this as I recover from laparoscopy. Sure enough, just as he predicted, he found endometriosis (his knowledge is truly remarkable) and he has repaired my niche. He even came to debrief me in the hospital on his day off. I feel hopeful for the first time in a long time that we may now get to complete our family. If I hadn't gone to Dr Arambage I fear my outcome could have been very different. Fiona, his practice manager, is also wonderful. She is proactive, prompt, caring - she makes liaising with them seamless and that is such a rare and important thing in healthcare. I cannot recommend them enough, I used the reviews to find them, so I want to say to anyone reading this: if you are struggling to choose a doctor, do yourself a favour and go to Dr Arambage!
